Experience & Expertise
We employ industry leading professionals with exceptional track records in their fields. This includes both investment teams and product development, with some of the industry's leading investment vehicles having been created by people who are now part of Cording Real Estate Group.
Renowned founder and experienced team
Mark Millar is the co-founder of Cording Real Estate Group. He has outstanding investment credentials and more than 30 years of experience. With increased emphasis on investment management, the team was strengthened by the appointment of John Partridge, who became Chairman in 2012. John previously set up the Morgan Grenfell property asset management business, was Head of Global Property at Henderson and, latterly, was Executive Chairman of Cordea Savills.
The team was strengthened further by the appointment of Bill Hackney as Chief Operating Officer, who worked with John Partridge previously at both Morgan Grenfell and then later at Cordea Savills and he brings a particular focus on investment processes and procedures and on risk management.
The UK property management business was expanded in 2009 through the acquisition of a team from Hammond Philips and, in 2012, a German property management presence was established with the acquisition of the MGI business. During 2013, the former MGI business was merged with Marstall Verwaltungs GmbH, creating a property and asset management business with six offices in Germany.
The investment expertise in the business was further broadened at the end of 2013 by the acquisition of the investment management business of Feldberg Capital, based in Germany. This business was run by Rodney Bysh, the former Head of Business Development for Henderson Global investors (now TH Real Estate), and employs former key Henderson staff in Stephan Schaal as Director of Investment, Jürgen Grieb as Finance Director and Reiner Beckers as Head of Business Development.
A further acquisition of Horizon Investment Management in April 2015, boosted Cording’s Northern European presence. This section of the business continues to be managed by Onno Scheij, as Head of Benelux and Asset Management, from Amsterdam’s World Trade Centre.
