Chief Executive Officer
Rodney Bysh is CEO. He is responsible for developing and implementing high level business strategies across the firm. He also has primary responsibility for all Investment Management and Business Development activities and is a member of the Investment & Risk Committee. Rodney has over 25 years of experience in the real estate and finance industry where he has gained extensive experience in building real estate management platforms, real estate investment, structuring and managing real estate funds for institutional investors in Europe.
Previously Rodney headed Feldberg Capital whose investment management business has been merged into Cording. He was a Managing Director at Rothschild, responsible for real estate investment banking in German-speaking Europe, from 2006 to 2008. During this period he advised on a number of large German real estate mergers and acquisitions. Rodney continued to be a Senior Adviser to Rothschild until the beginning 2018.
Prior to Rothschild he spent seven years at Henderson Global Investors and was a part of the property management team and Head of Germany, at first responsible for building the business in Continental Europe and then as Head of Business Development for the whole of Europe.
He began his career in 1988 at the HypoVereinsbank (now Unicredit), and his last position held was as Director of real estate funds.
Head of Business Development
Reiner is based in Frankfurt and is responsible for the development and distribution of products. He has 16 years of experience in structuring and placing real estate funds and investments.
Previously Reiner was the Head of Product Development at MGPA (formerly Macquarie Global Property Advisors) in London. From 2006 to 2008 Reiner worked at UBS Global Asset Management in London in the development of a number of international real estate funds and was the product manager for two continental European real estate funds with over €3 billion assets under management.
From 2001 to 2005 he worked at Henderson Global Investors in Frankfurt and London in the Business Development area, where he structured and placed real estate investments with German institutional investors.
Chief Financial Officer
Jürgen Grieb is Chief Financial Officer. Jürgen has extensive experience with a number of real estate funds where he set up the accounting and operating functions, built up and managed teams as well as implemented accounting and controlling systems.
From 2005 until 2008 Jürgen Grieb was responsible for the areas of fund accounting, controlling, reporting and tax at the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investment GmbH, which had over €2 billion of real estate assets under management globally.
Previous to that he headed the area of fund operations at TMW Pramerica. From 2001 to 2004 he was responsible for finance and controlling in the German based team at Henderson Global Investors. From 1992 until 2001 Jürgen Grieb worked for a German subsidiary of the Precision Valve Corporation where he headed the accounting function.
Chief Operating Officer
Bill joined Cording in early 2013 as the group's Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for Cording’s operational platform. He is a director of Cording Real Estate Group Limited and also chairs Cording’s Investment and Risk Committee.
He has been working in investment markets since 1987. Bill spent 16 years with Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Bank, the majority of which was with Deutsche Property Asset Management (latterly RREEF). Bill was a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank and was DePAM’s Chief Operating Officer. He joined the Savills Group in 2003 to assist in the formation and management of Cordea Savills, as Chief Operating Officer and member of Cordea Savills LLP. During Bill’s tenure with Cordea Savills, he oversaw the development of their pan-European operating platform, and the creation and management of several funds and vehicles with sector and/or geographic focuses. Bill was also a permanent member of Cordea Savills’ Investment and Risk Committee, and Managing Director of Cordea Savills’ FSA regulated businesses.
Head of UK and UK Investment
Mark is a founder of Cording Real Estate Group and is Head of Investment. He is responsible for formulating and implementing investment strategies for clients and working with the fund managers and their asset and property management teams. He is a member of Cording's Investment and Risk Committee.
Mark has worked in the UK commercial property investment market since joining Jones Lang Wootton as a graduate in 1983. He left to become a founder of Millar Kitching in the early 1990's which became a successful advisory business specialising in investment and asset management. The business transacted over £3.5bn of investments and had over £1.6bn of properties under management on behalf of institutional and family office clients. The business was sold in 2005.
Head of Investment Germany
Stephan is Head of Investment, Germany, with responsibility for investments and portfolio management in the German market.
Stephan has worked in real estate asset management for 13 years and benefits from a wide experience in investment and portfolio management. Prior to joining Cording, Stephan worked at AEW (formerly known as Curzon) in London between 2007 and 2011 as Director of Investment. In this role he successfully sourced and executed various pan-European acquisitions. Before Curzon he worked for two years at Henderson Global Investors in London and six years for Invesco (formerly known as HVB REAM) in Munich.
Stephan has executed transactions in Germany, France, UK, The Netherlands, Greece and Spain in the office, retail and logistic sectors. During his time at Invesco Stephan was the fund manager of an ‘Immobilien-Spezialfonds’ (German regulated vehicle for institutional investors).
Head of Benelux
Onno Scheij heads the Benelux team from Cording's Amsterdam office.
Onno began his career in 1993 in property management at De Boer Den Hartog Hooft (currently Bilfinger) in Amsterdam. In his last role he was Business Unit Manager, Commercial Real Estate. In 2000 he moved to VIB (later Corio) where he was responsible for a portfolio of industrial and office properties in the Netherlands, and was Head of Valuations.
Onno established the Amsterdam office of Horizon Netherlands in 2004 and was responsible for all Dutch activities, initially on an exclusive basis for Deka Immobilien but later also for clients such as BlackRock, AEW & Akron. From 2012, Horizon Netherlands widened its exposure to the Benelux as asset and investment manager on behalf of TH Real Estate and Warburg-Henderson. Onno’s primary expertise is in asset and investment management of offices, logistics and retail property. Onno has a university degree in Business Economics and a Master’s degree in Real Estate.
Head of Fund Management
Theo has more than 25 years experience in international capital markets and Real Estate investment management. He has established the real estate investment management business of ING Real Estate in Paris from 2000 until 2008. He returned to the Netherlands and established his own advisory business working for institutional investors in refinancing and restructuring over the last 10 years. Theo joined Cording in April 2018 to lead the fund management role throughout Cording.
Theo has managed two European logistics and industrial funds for ING Real Estate totaling € 1.5 billion assets under management in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium and The Netherlands.
Theo holds a master degree in Economics from Free University in Amsterdam.
Theo is a member of Cording's Investment and Risk Committee.
Head of Germany
Alfred Garbe manages the German business from Frankfurt and is responsible for optimising existing German mandates and increasing assets under management in Germany.
Alfred Garbe is a proven expert for light industrial properties and logistics real estate and was Director - Head of Logistics at Corpus Sireo before joining Cording. Further positions in the career of the graduate business economist included Co-Head of Asset Management at M7 Real Estate and Head of Asset Management Germany at Hansteen.
